COVID-19 OUTBREAK - As of March 17, 2020
In regards to COVID-19, Segue Clinic currently remains open for business and patients are expected to attend as usual. However, please know that Segue Clinic takes your health, and the health of its physicians and staff, very seriously. In this regard, we have implemented many successful new protocols in an effort to maintain social distancing and clinic cleanliness at all times.
Due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, if you have a cough or cold, our first recommendation is for you to notify Segue Clinic by using the “contact us” option on this website. A physician consultation may then be available by telephone depending on your symptoms. We then suggest that you please self-isolate. At present, there is no treatment for COVID 19 other than symptomatic treatment including rest and drinking plenty of fluids.
However, if you are concerned regarding your symptoms, please contact TeleHealth Ontario for further direction. ***If you are experiencing difficulty breathing, or shortness or breath, please go to your nearest emergency department or call 911.
In the event that Segue Clinic does unexpectedly close its doors during this crisis, please check with your pharmacy for your prescriptions. Pharmacies will be required to stay open and prescriptions for patients will be forwarded directly to pharmacies to ensure that patients are covered.
IN AN EFFORT TO ENSURE YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE RULES:
IF YOU HAVE UPPER RESPIRATORY SYMPTOMS, please notify the clinic. A physician consultation may then be available by telephone depending on your symptoms.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT WE HAVE YOUR CURRENT PHONE NUMBER so that telephone consultations can occur if required.
WEARING A BARRIER OVER YOUR MOUTH AND FACE, like a scarf or bandana, is strongly recommended while visiting the clinic. At the very least, please COVER YOUR MOUTH with your sleeve or tissue when you cough or sneeze. (Unfortunately, we have been attempting to secure face masks since the beginning of January without success.)
PLEASE HOLD UP YOUR HEALTH CARD FOR STAFF. Staff will not be handling health cards during the outbreak.
NO LOITERING in the clinic. “In” and “out” is the goal.
WASH YOUR HANDS for 20 seconds or more.
MAINTAIN THE “6 FOOT RULE” as much as reasonably possible.
PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTION OF STAFF AT ALL TIMES regarding handwashing, clinic entry, urine sampling, waiting room protocols, etc. Again, these rules are in place to protect your health.
IN THE EVENT OF CLINIC CLOSURE, please check with your pharmacy regarding your prescription. If an unplanned closure occurs, patients will be covered and prescriptions released to your pharmacies.
